If you are an android user, over the time you must have felt sluggish screen response and frame lags on your old smart phone.         Below are the main features you can go through

• Playback Gain Control : A Plyback gain control makes the headphone sound quieter or louder, even when the phone volume is set to max.

• Viper-DDC : Viper DDC will produce a balanced audio response from your headphones, which means the lows, mid and highs do not cross each other. 

• Spectrum Extension : Encodes the higher sound spectrum differently than the lower part. A different approach on the replication of the higher spectrum, gives us a more detailed sound.

• Convolver : Best features of Viper4Android, and also the most battery hungry. Enables to use a IRS (Input Response Sample) through convolution. Which basically is a sound processor, playing back in real time the characteristics of the sample.  To use it you will need IRS samples, which you can find here. • Headphone Surround+ : Here you can select 5 different types of effect levels, where each level gives you the different surround experience.

• Reverberation : Simulates sound being reflected from objects. With it we can replicate sound as if we were in a room, while we listen to music on our headphones.

• Fidelity Control : Gives us control over Viper Bass and Viper Clarity. With them, you can add bass via different modes and frequencies and also make the sound clearer. It works really well on lower bit rates.

 Installation procedure.

Note : Please make back up of your device so that you can revert back.  If anything goes wrong I will not be held responsible.

1.   Your mobile need to be rooted for the app to work.

2. If not rooted root with latest SuperSu.zip or any other rooting method which works for your mobile.

3.   Change to permissive mode with SELinux Mode Changer.

4.   Enable developer options and uncheck Use Nuplayer.

5.   Flash the zip you downloaded from the thread or from the links above (you need a custom recovery).

6. Open Viper4Android and under settings switch FX Compatible mode to Compatible.

7.  If you use PowerAmp enable MusicFX under Settings> Audio> Advanced Tweaks and turn it ON in Tone/Volume. Also, switch OFF the Equ, Tone and Limit under Tone/Volume. 

If you don't want to flash the zip file using custom recovery you can download the app from play store and install by following below steps.

1.   Download, extract and copy ViPER4Android_FX/XHiFi. apk to your device.

2.   Install the apk as USER app or SYSTEM app is up to you. (v2.3.1.0 onwards)

3.   Run FX/XHiFi app from app drawer, allow root access if asked. 

4.   When driver installation prompted, choose Yes.

5.   V4A auto detects your CPU and show available driver modes below 

       No modes: For processors with or without VFP .
       Battery Saving: Available for all processors with NEON.
       High Quality Mode: Available for processors with NEON.
       Super Audio Quality: Available for processors with NEON.

     6. Choose your desired selection.

     7. After installation done, Reboot device.

If you want to use only V4A as audio effect, follow normal mode. If you want existing audio effects to work, follow compatible mode.

    Normal Mode:

1.   In Sound settings > Music effects, always choose V4A FX unless FX is not installed. 

2.   Open up V4A FX (and xhifi), in menu, FX Compatible Mode set to Normal Mode.

3.   If not working, try Compatible mode before trying Force-Enable.

    Compatible Mode:

1.   Do not change anything under Sound settings/

2.  Open up V4A FX (and xhifi), in menu, FX Compatible Mode set to Compatible Mode.

3.   If not working, use Normal mode and disable other effects.

                                                          Most people whether traveling in car or while jogging, listen to there favorite music.
